New jaw surgery tool tested for less pain

NCT ID NCT06622421

Summary

This study compares two surgical tools for treating a serious jaw bone condition caused by certain medications. It will enroll 34 patients to see if a newer, ultrasonic 'piezoelectric' tool causes less pain and discomfort after surgery than the traditional rotating drill. The main goal is to measure patient recovery and pain levels over a year to determine which tool provides a better healing experience.
