Can getting kids moving in the ICU help them heal faster?

NCT ID NCT03860168

Summary

This study is testing a program called 'PICU Up!' that aims to help critically ill children in the intensive care unit recover better. The program bundles together promoting sleep, preventing confusion, and safely reducing sedation to allow kids to start moving and sitting up earlier. Researchers want to see if this approach helps children get off breathing machines sooner, spend less time in the hospital, and go home more often.
