NCT ID NCT06117345

First seen Jun 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving parents a special journal to write in while their child is in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) can lower their stress and help them feel more involved. About 75 parents of children in the PICU will use the journal and answer surveys about their stress, anxiety, and mood. The goal is to see if this simple tool can improve emotional health for both parents and children after a scary hospital stay.
