NCT ID NCT07391033
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compares two methods of preparing a blocked heart stent before using a drug-coated balloon to reopen it. About 500 adults with a re-blocked stent will be randomly assigned to either aggressive balloon preparation (using cutting or scoring balloons) or standard balloon preparation. The goal is to see which approach reduces the risk of future heart problems, such as heart attack or the need for another procedure.
