First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments—low-level laser therapy and myofascial release (a type of massage)—against standard care in 102 moderate COVID-19 patients aged 45-60 in the ICU. The goal was to reduce inflammation and improve physical function. After leaving the hospital, all patients did a 12-week home exercise program via video calls. The study measured blood markers of inflammation, breathing strength, walking ability, and fatigue.
