New imaging technique could revolutionize how doctors treat stubborn foot wounds
NCT ID NCT07216599
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a new imaging technology called photoacoustic imaging can help doctors better monitor blood flow in chronic foot ulcers and guide treatment decisions. The study will enroll 25 patients with foot ulcers caused by poor circulation to see if this imaging approach is practical and provides useful information. Researchers hope this early testing will determine if the technology is feasible for larger future studies that could improve wound healing.
