Can a phone call ease the burden of advanced cancer?
NCT ID NCT06532877
Summary
This study is testing whether a telephone counseling program can help patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer better manage their fatigue and daily life. It also aims to see if the program reduces the stress and burden felt by their family caregivers. Researchers will compare a counseling program focused on stress and symptom management to a simpler education and support program. About 488 patients and their caregivers will participate in weekly phone sessions over several months.
