First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two ultrasound-guided procedures for people with knee osteoarthritis who haven't gotten relief from standard treatments like medication or physical therapy. One method uses a chemical called phenol to block pain signals for a longer time, while the other uses a common mix of numbing medicine and steroid. The goal is to see which works better for reducing pain and improving daily function, and to check for side effects. The study involves 42 adults with moderate to severe knee pain.
