Summary
This study is developing and testing a new computer tool to help pharmacists identify and reduce risks when dispensing opioid pain medications. The research involves 80 pharmacies in Ohio, where some will use the new risk assessment tool while others follow standard procedures. The goal is to see if the tool helps pharmacists better support patients and reduce potential misuse of prescription opioids.
