Pharmacies become frontline defense against STIs and HIV for young women

NCT ID NCT07361926

Summary

This study aims to see if offering HIV prevention medications (PrEP and PEP) and routine STI testing at retail pharmacies is a practical and effective way to protect young women in Kenya. It will involve 720 young women seeking contraception and compare different combinations of services. The goal is to make prevention more accessible outside of traditional clinics and reduce high rates of sexually transmitted infections and HIV.
