Video pharmacist calls aim to stop dangerous drug Mix-Ups for veterans
NCT ID NCT04340570
Summary
This study tested whether having a pharmacist conduct video calls to veterans' homes could help older adults manage their medications more safely. Researchers enrolled 304 older veterans with multiple health conditions who were taking at least five daily medications. They compared those who received the video consultations with pharmacists against those who received usual care to see if the calls reduced medication errors and harmful drug use.
