Hospital pharmacists step up to close dangerous vaccination gap
NCT ID NCT04734925
Summary
This study tested whether having a clinical pharmacist talk to patients about vaccination before they leave the hospital could increase vaccination rates. It focused on adults at high risk for serious pneumococcal infections, like pneumonia and meningitis, who were not yet vaccinated. The goal was to see if this simple, direct recommendation from a pharmacist could help protect more people.
