Can a chat with a pharmacist prevent strokes?
NCT ID NCT07159399
Summary
This study is testing whether personalized education from specially trained pharmacists helps people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) take their blood-thinning medications more consistently. Researchers will compare 400 patients who receive this pharmacist support to those who get usual care. The main goal is to see if better medication habits lead to fewer strokes and serious bleeding events.
