Virus hunters: using Nature's killers to fight CF lung infections

NCT ID NCT07275905

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a new treatment called AchromoPhage is safe for adults with cystic fibrosis who have long-term lung infections caused by Achromobacter bacteria. The treatment uses four naturally occurring viruses (called phages) that target and kill these specific bacteria. Researchers will enroll 12 participants to receive the treatment through inhalation, IV infusion, or both, monitoring for side effects and how the body responds over 42 days.
