Virus vs. superbug: new hope for untreatable pneumonia
NCT ID NCT07202234
Summary
This study tests a new treatment for a severe type of pneumonia that doesn't respond to antibiotics. It will involve 248 patients on breathing machines who have infections from 'superbugs.' The treatment uses special viruses, called bacteriophages, inhaled into the lungs to target and kill the resistant bacteria.
