Blood test study aims to personalize treatment for lung pressure disease

NCT ID NCT01961232

Summary

This study is testing whether measuring specific substances in blood samples taken during a standard heart catheterization procedure can help doctors make more informed treatment choices for pulmonary hypertension. Researchers will analyze blood from 100 adults already scheduled for this procedure to see if these measurements predict how patients respond to certain medications. The goal is to move toward more personalized therapy by better understanding the disease in each individual.
