New combo aims to crush leukemia in first strike

NCT ID NCT07224100

First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests a mix of chemotherapy drugs (DA-EPOCH) plus the targeted pill ponatinib in adults newly diagnosed with a specific, aggressive leukemia (Ph+ ALL). The goal is to see if this combination can wipe out cancer cells deep in the bone marrow. About 33 people will take part. While the treatment may lead to remission, patients may still need ongoing therapy or monitoring, so this is a disease-control approach, not a cure.
