Summary

This study is testing a small implant that closes a small hole in the heart (called a PFO) to see if it safely prevents people from having another stroke. It will follow about 636 adults in the US who have had a recent stroke and have this specific heart condition. The main goal is to see if the implant, along with blood-thinning medication, is better at preventing future strokes than medication alone.
