NCT ID NCT07226440

First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called colesevelam, which binds to bile acids, can help lower levels of PFAS (forever chemicals) in the blood of male firefighters with high exposure. The trial involves 50 participants and will measure how well people stick with the treatment and whether it reduces PFAS levels. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and acceptable, not to cure a disease.
