New scan could tell doctors if cancer treatment will work

NCT ID NCT06349512

Summary

This study is testing if a new type of PET scan can predict how well a patient's triple-negative breast cancer will respond to a standard combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy before they even start treatment. Researchers will scan 60 patients with early-stage, high-risk cancer and compare the new scan to a standard one. The goal is to see if the scan results can accurately forecast which patients will have their cancer completely eliminated by the treatment.
