New biopsy test aims to spare cancer patients from invasive surgery
NCT ID NCT01892501
Summary
This study tested a less invasive biopsy method for diagnosing suspicious lymph nodes found on PET scans in cancer patients. Researchers wanted to see if a guided needle biopsy, done through a tube in the throat, could accurately diagnose these lymph nodes. If successful, this method could help patients avoid more invasive surgical procedures for diagnosis.
