New scan aims to target Fast-Growing brain cancer more precisely
NCT ID NCT05608395
Summary
This study tested a special type of PET scan to see if it could improve treatment for patients with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma. The scan uses a radioactive tracer called 11C-methionine to get a clearer picture of where the fast-growing tumor cells are located. Doctors then used this detailed scan to plan more precise radiation therapy, hoping to help patients live longer without the cancer getting worse.
