New scan could tell doctors if breast cancer treatment is working sooner

NCT ID NCT07419867

Summary

This study aims to find out if a new type of PET/MRI scan using special tracers can predict how well different breast cancer treatments will work. It will enroll 300 women with breast cancer who are about to start either neoadjuvant therapy (before surgery) or salvage therapy. The main goal is to see if early changes on these scans can tell doctors which patients are responding to treatment, helping to guide future larger studies.
