High-Tech scans hunt hidden leukemia in new patients
NCT ID NCT02390635
Summary
This study is testing whether advanced imaging scans (PET/MR, PET/CT, and whole-body MRI) can detect leukemia that has spread outside the bone marrow in newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia patients. Researchers want to see how often this hidden leukemia occurs and whether finding it helps predict treatment outcomes. The study involves 77 adult patients who will receive these specialized scans before starting their leukemia treatment.
