New scan could predict if cancer treatment will work

NCT ID NCT05404048

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can help doctors predict which patients with large B-cell lymphoma will respond well to CAR-T cell therapy. Researchers will use a special imaging tracer to look for a specific protein (PD-L1) in the body before treatment. The goal is to learn if this scan can tell the difference between active cancer and harmless inflammation after therapy, and if it can forecast treatment success or side effects.
