First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a special PET scan tracer (F-DOPA) to see if it could better detect leftover medullary thyroid cancer in 24 adults who had high tumor marker levels after surgery. The goal was to compare this new imaging method with standard scans to find remaining cancer in lymph nodes. Results will help doctors decide if this tracer improves detection and guides further treatment.
