New scan study aims to better predict breast cancer treatment success
NCT ID NCT07173868
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of scan called F-18 FDG PET-CT is better than standard imaging at predicting how well treatment is working for people with advanced breast cancer. It will follow 100 patients receiving their first treatment, comparing scan results and blood tests over 48 weeks to see which method better forecasts long-term outcomes. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors make more accurate predictions about a patient's response to therapy.
