New scan may reveal hidden clues to lung cancer treatment success

NCT ID NCT06833229

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special PET scan can tell early on if immunotherapy (with or without chemo) is working for advanced lung cancer. It aims to tell the difference between true tumor growth and harmless inflammation that can look like growth. About 200 adults with non-small cell lung cancer will get a PET scan 6 weeks into treatment to see if the scan can predict the outcome.
