Scanning for hidden fever sources: can a special test help hospitalized patients?

NCT ID NCT07430475

Summary

This study looked back at hospital records to see if a special type of scan (called an FDG-PET/CT) helps doctors find the cause of unexplained fevers or inflammation in adult patients. Researchers reviewed 266 cases to check if the scan led to a clear diagnosis or changed the patient's treatment plan. The goal is to better understand which patients might benefit most from this imaging test.
