Scanning for hidden cancer: can a simple test predict who will beat leukemia?

NCT ID NCT05969002

Summary

This small study tested whether PET-CT scans, a type of imaging, can help predict how well patients with hard-to-treat leukemia will respond to CAR T-cell therapy. Researchers scanned 10 patients before and after their cell therapy to see if cancer hiding outside the bone marrow shows up on the scans and if that predicts a higher risk of the cancer coming back. The goal is to gather information to help doctors better plan treatment for future patients.
