First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked back at the records of 266 hospitalized adults who had a special PET scan (FDG-PET/CT) to find the cause of an unexplained fever or inflammation. The goal was to see how often the scan helped doctors make a diagnosis and whether it changed treatment plans. The results will help identify which patients benefit most from this imaging test.
