New scan could sharpen bladder cancer detection

NCT ID NCT04053101

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to see if a specialized imaging test called a PET CT scan is better than the standard CT scan at finding out if advanced bladder cancer has spread. Researchers analyzed data from 130 patients to see if the PET CT could more accurately detect cancer in lymph nodes and other body areas. The goal was to determine if this scan could help doctors make more precise treatment decisions for patients.
