Could your pet protect your gut from dangerous infections?

NCT ID NCT05622721

Summary

This study is exploring whether contact with pets can help protect people's gut health after taking antibiotics. Researchers are testing if sharing healthy gut bacteria with pets can prevent a serious infection called C. difficile. They are following 200 adults getting dental implants who take preventive antibiotics to see if pet owners have healthier gut recovery and fewer infections.
