Summary

This study tested whether personalized lifestyle advice based on a person's genetic makeup (SNP testing) leads to better weight loss than standard general advice. It involved 53 overweight or obese Korean adults who were followed for about 17 months. Researchers compared changes in body weight, fat, and muscle between the group receiving DNA-tailored plans and the group receiving common weight control guidance.
