Custom cancer vaccine tested in brain tumor patients

NCT ID NCT03223103

Summary

This early-phase study is testing whether a personalized vaccine made from a patient's own tumor, given alongside a device that uses electric fields to fight cancer (Tumor Treating Fields), is safe and well-tolerated. It involves 13 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma who have completed initial surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The main goal is to check for side effects and see if the body's immune system responds to the vaccine.
