Brain scans aim to sharpen depression treatment for seniors
NCT ID NCT04543773
Summary
This study is testing a more precise way to use transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), an FDA-approved depression treatment, for people over 60. Researchers are using individual brain scans to try to find the best spot to stimulate for each person, hoping to make the treatment more effective. They will track changes in depression symptoms and brain connectivity in 24 participants throughout the treatment course.
