Cancer patients choose their own path to quit smoking in new study
NCT ID NCT04634071
Summary
This study tested whether letting cancer patients choose their own quit-smoking plan works better than having one randomly assigned. 126 patients with smoking-related cancers selected from 12 different combinations of medication, counseling, and nicotine replacement. Researchers compared quit rates at 8 weeks against results from a previous study where treatments were randomly assigned.
