First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested a new questionnaire to help doctors quickly identify the right level of palliative care for people newly diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Thirty patients answered a few simple questions, and their answers were compared to expert doctor assessments. The goal was to make sure each patient gets the care they need—whether that's a nurse visit or home-based support—without unnecessary hospital trips.
