Summary
This study aims to improve pain control and reduce side effects for older adults after heart surgery. Researchers will use genetic testing to try to predict which patients might have severe pain or bad reactions to common opioid pain medications like methadone. The goal is to help doctors choose the safest and most effective pain relief plan for each individual patient.
