Could a smart pacemaker ease the burden of a stiff heart?
NCT ID NCT06775886
Summary
This study aimed to see if a personalized, faster heart pacing program could safely improve symptoms and quality of life for people with a specific type of thickened heart muscle (non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). Participants, who already had a special heart device (ICD), were randomly assigned to try the new pacing program or continue with their usual care for three months. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only one person.
