First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving each patient on a breathing machine a personalized oxygen target (based on their unique health data) leads to better outcomes than the usual one-size-fits-all approach. About 3,000 adults in the ICU will take part. The goal is to see if this tailored method reduces deaths and helps patients get off the ventilator sooner.
