Gene mapping could revolutionize cancer care
NCT ID NCT02155621
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at the complete genetic makeup of a person's cancer to find the specific changes driving it. The goal is to match each patient with a drug that targets those changes. Up to 5,000 adults with advanced or metastatic cancers that cannot be cured will have their tumor DNA analyzed. The study aims to see how often this genetic information changes treatment decisions and to build a large database linking cancer genes to treatment outcomes.
