Big breakfast study: does your body handle carbs and fats differently?
NCT ID NCT06992921
Summary
This study aimed to understand why people have different blood sugar, fat, and inflammation responses after eating the same meals. Over 1,600 participants from a larger heart and lung health study ate specific breakfasts and drank test meals at home over 10 days while their bodies were closely monitored. Researchers collected blood, stool samples, and used glucose monitors to link these food responses to a person's gut bacteria, diet, and existing health risks.
