Can a custom playlist calm dementia distress?
NCT ID NCT04132362
Summary
This study is testing whether creating and playing personalized music playlists can help ease behavioral and psychological symptoms like agitation, anxiety, and apathy in people with dementia. Researchers are working with up to 1,080 participants in care homes and at home to find the best, fastest ways to make these playlists and see how people respond. The goal is to develop easy-to-use methods, like an app, that families and caregivers can use to improve well-being.
