Genetic blueprint guides next treatment for tough melanoma cases
NCT ID NCT02645149
Summary
This study tested a personalized approach for patients with advanced melanoma that had not responded to standard immunotherapy. Researchers analyzed the genetic makeup of each patient's tumor to find specific mutations. Patients were then given a targeted drug designed to attack those specific mutations, aiming to control the cancer after other treatments had stopped working.
