Doctors test tailored treatments for Kids' brain cancer
NCT ID NCT01878617
Summary
This study is testing a new, personalized approach to treating medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer in children. Doctors will analyze each child's tumor to determine its genetic type and risk level, then assign a specific combination of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The goal is to see if matching the treatment to the tumor's biology can improve survival rates while reducing long-term side effects from therapy.
