New scan could make lung cancer radiation safer
NCT ID NCT07289646
Summary
This study tests whether using a special PET/CT scan to map healthy lung function can help doctors better target radiation for lung cancer. Researchers will compare personalized radiation plans based on these scans to standard plans in 418 patients. The goal is to reduce lung damage while still effectively treating the tumor.
