Scientists craft custom cancer vaccine from Patient's own tumor

NCT ID NCT02950766

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new, personalized vaccine designed to stop kidney cancer from returning after surgery. The vaccine is custom-made for each patient using unique markers from their own tumor. Researchers combine this vaccine with an approved immunotherapy drug to see if it safely trains the body's immune system to attack any remaining cancer cells.
