Summary

Researchers at two Active Ageing Centers in Monza, Italy, are testing a personalized 3-month program for adults aged 65 and older who show early signs of decline in abilities like walking, memory, or nutrition. The program combines physical exercise with targeted help for thinking, mood, eating, senses, and social connection, plus a review of regular medications. The main goal is to see whether most participants can complete the full 6-month study pathway, with check-ins at 3 and 6 months.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
a personalized 3-month program combining exercise, nutrition, memory support, mood care, sensory help, and social connection
What this could lead to
If it works, this could give older adults a practical way to stay independent longer by addressing several health needs at once.
What could go wrong
This is an early feasibility study with no control group, so it cannot prove the program causes any health improvement. Results may not apply to older adults outside these centers.
