VA tests custom antibiotic cocktails to wipe out stubborn stomach bug
NCT ID NCT07104318
Summary
This study aims to see if a personalized treatment plan works better than the standard one-time approach to eliminate H. pylori, a common stomach bacteria. It will involve 360 veterans who have never been treated for this infection before. Researchers will compare a standard 14-day antibiotic regimen to a custom plan based on each person's genetic profile and the specific strain of bacteria.
